The Queens Head Inn
Situated in the idyllic village of Askham, in the heart of the North Eastern Fells in the Lake District National Park, The Queens Head is a traditional local village Inn.
Dating back to the 17th century, it offers a comfortable ' olde worlde' interior retaining many of its period features such as a wealth of exposed beams, brass and cooper memorabilia and local hunting prints. Open fires warm the main bar where many a weary walker and huntsman has lingered, where locals sit enjoying their usual or where diners chat over a bottle or two of wine.
Browse over our menu while enjoying pre-dinner drinks by the warmth of the open fires, before moving into our dining area. Relax and enjoy watching the world go by from our cosy snug or just have a refreshing ale and sit by the fire to rest aching limbs after a hard day on the fells.
